2. ProcessLab Conference
Value creation in the financial sector is increasingly taking place via networks. This term is used to describe cooperation between companies as well as internal teamwork within a company. The idea of these value creation networks leads to dynamic structures that are becoming increasingly complex. Managing these structures presents a real challenge for process management.

 The second ProcessLab conference, held on June 18 in Frankfurt, dealt with these current topics, which are highly relevant to the banking sector. New concepts for process management in the value creation networks of banks were presented and discussed. To create a link between real-world practice and scientific theory, two different presentation tracks were offered. While the scientific track presented new research findings, the practice-oriented section included state-of-the-art reports from the banking sector. New this year were two demo sessions that demonstrated how tools can be used to solve process management problems.

In this context, Marc Votteler, Product Manager at ITO A&S 2, highlighted business process monitoring with @ctiveFRIEND as practiced at Hypo Real Estate Bank AG.
