After Thomas Drews, head of the ITO A&S department, had welcomed participants, it was over to Marc Votteler again, head of ITO A&S 2, for the presentation of this year's new version of @ctiveFRIEND. He mainly focused on the subject of integration, particularly in the context of the new ITIL version V3. In addition, he presented users the current development project "@ctiveFRIEND from the outlet". Under the name MONA REAL, this solution will be available to all interested parties from July 1 onwards.
Matthias Pusch, Head of Monitoring & Reporting, provided an insight into the relevance of the SCOM adapter for the Microsoft world.
During the presentation "Integration – Strategy and Interfaces", the ITO colleagues Rainer Wißmach and Alexandru Schäfer-Girleanu mainly dealt with the topics ITIL V3 and Configuration Management Database (CMDB), as well as with the workflow generator, which they demonstrated through an interesting live presentation.
Before lunch, Holger Köther, Head of Consulting, showed how @ctiveFRIEND and Prometheus work together in practice, and demonstrated "Geocoding with GoogleMaps" in
an informative lecture.
This year's Special Event really had participants sweating, not only because it took place in glorious sunshine, but because they were expected to prove their soccer enthusiasm during an exciting and entertaining table soccer tournament.
Following that, users Sebastian Langer from Siemens IT Solutions and Services, and Werner Knauer from Rummelberger Datenverarbeitungsgesellschaft mbH reported on their experience with @ctiveFRIEND.
Finally, all users had the opportunity to talk to the product manufacturer and other participants, and ask any further questions.
