Beam Blank Casting Technology
Beam-blank casting is the ideal link between the steelmaking plant and the rolling mill for producing high quality structural beams with a wide range of product dimensions. The near net shape of the beam blanks considerably reduces the number of required passes in the section mill. Direct charging eliminates intermediate storage, unnecessary manipulation costs as well as a reduction of reheating energy expenses.
