The production of hot band is one of the key parts in steel production.
This is due to the high amount of hot band (approx. half of the steel
production is hot rolled), typically requiring highest throughput and
therefore availability connected with highest quality requirements of the
products regarding geometrical precision as well as material properties.
Siemens VAI provides the full range of electric and automation equipment
within the SIROLL product family to ensure the needed high quality solutions
for new plants as well as for modernizations as well as upgrades which can
bring or keep hot strip mills state of the art facilities that can meet
today’s requirements.
Therefore the SIROLL hot mill product provides solutions for the classic
hot strip mill (HM), the compact Hot Strip Mill (CHSM) and the also newest
developments as ESP plants or direct strip casting and rolling plants,
reducing the needed energy/ton of produced steel.
