the production process permit “online” collection of
quality data which are then merged with other data that
result indirectly from process information and their
combination. This enables quality predictions to be

immediate modification of target parameters for the
downstream production units, rework through additional

emerging quality defects before they get to the final
product.

or for later processing steps.
