Water plants are frequently characterized by their decentralized structure with numerous field stations. These field stations, such as overhead tanks, pumping stations and rainfall structures, can be integrated into a central control system with the aid of telecontrol technology. Incorporating all information from the field stations creates transparency and is a prerequisite for optimizing your entire facility.
SINAUT Telecontrol is based on the SIMATIC systems S7-300 and S7-400 as well as on SIMATIC WinCC/PCS 7. It supplements these systems with the required hardware and software components for communication via WAN. Versatility and modularity both in terms of the structure of the process stations as well as in the selection and combination of available networks and transmission paths (e.g., dedicated lines, radio, dial-up network, mobile radio telephone service) are among the crucial advantages of this telecontrol system.
Especially from Siemens: To cover the different requirements, SINAUT Telecontrol has two independent systems: The simple telecontrol system SINAUT MICRO and the versatile SINAUT ST7. With the use of SINAUT ST7cc a fast and easy connection to the visualization system SIMATIC WinCC.
SIMATIC PCS 7 TeleControl is a solution for integrating the outstations into the control system SIMATIC PCS7: Plant automation and the monitoring of distributed process areas are joined together in one control station. The advantages: joint operator prompting, user-friendly and simple data management, and integrated engineering. The standardized user interface minimizes the risk of errors and the uniform software platform minimizes the configuration and maintenance overhead.
Especially from Siemens: SIMATIC PCS 7 TeleControl supports both classic and Internet-based communication links and can also be provided with a redundant design if there are increased availability demands.
SIPLUS RIC (Remote Interface Control) is a modular and integrated telecontrol system based on software libraries with internationally normed IEC protocols. The system is available for all controllers of the SIMATIC family - thus, also the configuration of redundant telecontrol networks with the high available system S7-400 H is possible. The libraries are applicable in SIMATIC PCS 7 and SIMATIC WinCC – without addiitional engineering software. For the use in difficult environmental conditions – which is often the case in the water industry – Siemens provides the SIPLUS extreme portfolio. Also SIPLUS extreme is part of Totally Integrated Automation.
